Gazprom and Russian Railways can build a railway to the port of Sabetta

The railway construction Project to the port of Sabetta is planned to be restarted, for which the road will be transferred to the Federal level.

As Vedomosti writes, the concession agreement will be signed with Gazprom (or with its daughter Gazpromtrans) and Russian Railways. According to sources, negotiations on participation in the project with NOVATEK are also underway.

As market participants note, even if the project is not included in the main infrastructure plan, it can be added.

An official application to the government — private initiative — a consortium of investors may submit in the first half of 2019.

Now the agreement on public-private partnership in the construction of this road from 2015, the investor — the company "vis "Transstroy", which was supposed to finish the work in 2019, but has not yet started it. In turn, the company notes that it is necessary to finish the road only by 2022.

According to sources, this agreement may be terminated, since the road would remain in the ownership of investors, not the state.

Previously, the cost of the road was estimated at 113 billion rubles in prices of the previous years, now corresponds to 176 billion rubles According to market participants, the road will cost 113-115 billion RUB due to new design solutions.
